An opportunity is available for a skilled and dedicated professional to provide vital support within a K-12 educational setting in Philadelphia, PA. This contract position focuses on delivering specialized services to meet the diverse needs of students during the extended school year.
Qualifications:
- Certification (SLP-CCC)
- Masters degree in Communication Disorders or a related field
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of current best practices in speech and language therapy
Location:
- Philadelphia, PA
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments and develop appropriate therapy plans
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and attend IEP meetings to advocate for student needs
- Maintain up-to-date documentation and compliance with school policies and regulations
