Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled professional specializing in speech-language pathology within an educational setting. This position focuses on providing dedicated support to high school students with diverse learning needs, ensuring each individual receives the communication assistance required to thrive academically.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Provide direct therapy to a caseload of 25 high school students with various learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support student development.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development as required.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Illinois state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working in a school setting, preferably with high school students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Knowledge of IEP processes and documentation.
