Enthusiastic professionals are sought for a dynamic role in a K-12 educational setting located in Providence, RI. This contract position for a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Active Rhode Island SLP or SLPA license
- Previous experience working in school settings, preferably with K-12 students
- Strong understanding of speech and language assessments and interventions
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 7 students
- Experience providing or receiving supervision as needed
Location: Providence, RI
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct therapy to students on your caseload
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to ensure effective interventions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
