Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled professional to support students in a dynamic K-12 educational environment. This part-time position focuses on providing tailored speech and language services to a diverse group of 15-20 students, including two nonverbal students who utilize AAC devices.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in school settings
- Proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) technologies
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff and families
- Strong assessment and intervention planning skills
- Previous experience with students with special needs is preferred
Location:
- Republic, MO
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify students' speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to assigned students
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
- Collaborate with educational staff to support students overall development
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
