Job Description
An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated professional skilled in speech-language pathology. This position focuses on providing specialized support to K-12 students, emphasizing communication needs for a diverse classroom of 15-20 learners, including two nonverbal students utilizing AAC devices.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably in school settings
- Proficient in using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and implement therapy goals
Location:
Republic, MO
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Conduct group and one-on-one therapy sessions, ensuring a supportive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation of services provided
