Job Description
Located in Rockford, IL, this role involves working with a varied caseload that may include all elementary levels, early childhood, or a mix of K-8 students. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to succeed academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations
- Ability to obtain a Professional Educator License (PEL) to work in schools
- Supervision and on-site support available for Clinical Fellows (CFs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Previous experience managing an elementary caseload is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
- Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language intervention
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

This position offers 37.5 hours a week, with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, starting August 4 and extending through the school year until May 21.
