School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Rockford, Illinois

Job Description

Located in Rockford, IL, this role involves working with a varied caseload that may include all elementary levels, early childhood, or a mix of K-8 students. You will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support to succeed academically and socially.

Qualifications:

• Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
• Experience in school settings or with pediatric populations
• Ability to obtain a Professional Educator License (PEL) to work in schools
• Supervision and on-site support available for Clinical Fellows (CFs)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience managing an elementary caseload is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to evaluate students speech and language needs
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student goals
• Provide direct therapy to students requiring speech and language intervention
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
