This contract position is situated in Saint Johns, MI, within a K-12 school environment, focusing on providing SLP services to approximately 30 students in two center-based programs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in SLP or related field
- Valid state license as a SLP
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working with high needs and complex cases, particularly in school settings
- Proficiency in using AAC devices and complex communicators
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Location:
Saint Johns, MI
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' overall development.
- Utilize AAC devices as part of therapy sessions to enhance communication skills.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to education.
