An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled professional eager to make a meaningful impact within a K-12 educational setting. This position is located in San Jose, CA, and involves working collaboratively to support a diverse student population with varying needs.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist credential
- CCC certification or CFY status
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Familiarity with case management and IEP processes
- Preferred experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- SEIS experience is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 60-70 students, focusing on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement effective communication strategies
- Supervise and work alongside two onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Provide direct therapy services and monitor student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and engage with families regarding student development
Location:
- San Jose, CA, with additional responsibilities at a site in Redwood City
