An opportunity has arisen for a skilled professional to contribute in a dynamic K-12 educational environment located in San Jose, CA. This contract position is ideal for professionals passionate about supporting students with diverse communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC or CFY)
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong case management skills, with the ability to manage a caseload of 60-70 students
- Preferred experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)
- Familiarity with SEIS (Special Education Information System) is an asset
- Ability to collaborate effectively with onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
Location:
- San Jose, CA (with additional locations in Redwood City)
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language support
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Supervise and collaborate with two onsite Speech-Language Pathology Assistants to enhance service delivery
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and interventions
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and strategies
- Engage with students, staff, and families to promote effective communication and support
