Job Description
This position is available for a professional specialists to support middle school students in Shelton, WA, for the upcoming school year. This full-time position will work closely with adolescents to address their speech and language needs, as well as providing essential interventions and support. Monday-Friday; 35 hours weekly.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Communications Disorders
- Valid State Certification and Credentials
- CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with middle school students
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Location: Shelton, WA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and provide speech and language evaluations for students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language intervention
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate language goals into the classroom
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of services provided and student progress
