An opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support within an engaging elementary school environment in Smyrna, DE. This role focuses on addressing the diverse needs of students, particularly those with ASD and early childhood requirements, fostering their communication development from August to June.
Qualifications:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with various disability levels and individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Active or pending Delaware SLP licensure
- Ability to pass background check and drug test
Location:
Smyrna, DE
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students requiring speech and language support
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to enhance student outcomes
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
