Job Description
An opportunity awaits for a skilled professional to provide essential speech-language services in an engaging elementary school environment. This role is focused on supporting students from kindergarten through sixth grade, addressing the diverse communication needs of approximately 60-70 children.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children, particularly K-6
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Proficient in assessing and implementing therapy for speech and language disorders
Location:
- South Bend, IN
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate IEPs tailored to individual students
- Provide direct speech and language therapy in one-on-one and group settings
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy outcomes
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and professional development
