Job Description
A dynamic opportunity exists for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in an elementary school setting. This contract position is based in Spartanburg, SC, and runs from August 11 to May 28, aligning with the school year.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with a valid South Carolina license
- Possession of a teaching certification
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Proficient in assessing and treating various speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborate with educational staff
Location:
Spartanburg, SC
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to individual student needs
- Deliver appropriate therapy services to students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support student success
- Conduct group and individual therapy sessions in a positive and engaging environment
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation
