Job Description

Exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide vital speech and language services to K-6 students in an engaging elementary school setting. This full-time contract position is based in Spokane, WA, and aims to support students' communication needs for the current school year.

Location: Spokane, WA

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students from kindergarten to sixth grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech therapy.
  • Provide direct therapy services while monitoring student progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure a comprehensive approach to each student's needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.

Qualifications:

  • Masters Degree in Communication Disorders.
  • Valid Washington state SLP license and certification.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working with children, particularly in a school setting, is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
