A dynamic opportunity awaits a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in Staten Island, NY, for a contract position within a K-12 school setting. This role focuses on providing essential communication support to students, ensuring their educational needs are met effectively.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC).
- Active New York Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Experience in school settings, particularly with elementary and middle school students.
- Proficient in developing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate within a team of professionals.
Location: Staten Island, NY
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop tailored speech and language therapy plans.
- Provide direct and indirect services as outlined in student IEPs.
- Maintain thorough documentation of sessions and progress.
- Collaborate with fellow SLPs and educational staff to support student success.
- Participate in meetings to discuss student progress and necessary interventions.
