Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure or credential as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students, preferred
- Strong assessment and treatment planning skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEPs and the special education process
Location: Suffolk, VA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to the assigned caseload
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students communication needs
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records of therapy sessions
- Engage parents and guardians in understanding their child's progress and needs
