This role focuses on providing essential speech and language services, ensuring that each student receives the necessary guidance to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Communication Disorders
- Valid state certification and credentials as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in an elementary setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and support staff
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) or CFY (Clinical Fellow Year) candidates are welcome to apply
Location:
- Tacoma, WA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Provide direct therapy services to students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to integrate therapy goals into the classroom
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records as required by state regulations
- Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
