An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled Speech Language Pathologist eager to make a positive impact in the lives of K-12 students. This full-time position is based in Tacoma, WA, and focuses on serving elementary to middle school students for the current school year. We welcome applications from candidates holding a valid Washington state SLP license and those seeking supervision as Clinical Fellows.
Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Communication Disorders
- Valid state certification and credentials
- Experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
- CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred, but not required for CFs seeking supervision
Location: Tacoma, WA
Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement tailored individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation as required
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities
- Provide consultation and support to teaching staff regarding speech and language goals
