Job Description
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide valuable services in an elementary school setting located in Bangor, ME. This contract position offers flexibility and the chance to make a significant impact in the lives of young students aged 3-6, using both in-person and virtual therapy modalities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement effective therapy strategies for a diverse caseload of students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Utilize teletherapy platforms to provide additional support to students, ensuring access to high-quality interventions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student assessments, progress, and communications.
- Stay informed about best practices and developments in speech-language pathology and educational methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience in teletherapy and traditional therapy settings, preferably within an elementary school context.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development milestones for early childhood.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and environments, whether virtual or on-site.
