Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide teletherapy services at an elementary school in Hampden, ME. This contract position is ideal for professionals with a passion for helping young children aged 3-6 develop their communication skills in a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and implement targeted therapy interventions for a caseload of approximately 30 students.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's education.
- Utilize virtual platforms to deliver high-quality speech and language therapy sessions, adapting methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and therapy outcomes.
- Provide guidance and resources to families to support communication goals outside of school hours.
Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience with teletherapy practices and virtual treatment strategies.
- Previous work in a school setting, with a focus on early childhood education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and families.
- Flexibility to transition between virtual and on-site therapy as needed.
