A rewarding opportunity awaits for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in teletherapy. This position is designed for those ready to support elementary students in a virtual setting, focusing on their speech and language development while they engage in remote learning.
Location: Harrison Township, MI (Teletherapy)
Job Duration: Leave coverage from September through December
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide therapy to students in grades K-5.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students, addressing diverse speech and language needs.
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies that facilitate student progress.
- Participate in virtual meetings and maintain accurate documentation of service minutes.
- Offer guidance to families regarding speech and language development strategies to reinforce learning at home.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid state licensure and ASHA CCC-SLP certification.
- Experience working with elementary students, particularly those with speech and language disorders.
- Proficient understanding of technology for providing teletherapy services.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and school staff.
