Job Description
A rewarding opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide invaluable services in a high school setting located in Mahomet, IL. This contract position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about enhancing student communication and learning experiences. With a focus on delivering both direct and indirect therapy, this role is essential in supporting a diverse caseload of students over the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for high school students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's needs.
- Provide direct therapy services to a caseload of approximately 45 students, utilizing both in-person and teletherapy methods.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and ethical standards in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) license.
- Valid PEL (Professional Educator License) required for school settings.
- Experience with teletherapy practices is preferred.
- Strong background in working with high school students and understanding their unique challenges.
