Job Description

Location: Marysville, MI Setting: Elementary School (K-5)

An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled candidate to provide teletherapy services in a dynamic elementary school environment. This position is ideal for those adept at using digital tools for therapy and committed to enhancing student communication skills. Covering a leave from September through December, the SLP will support a diverse caseload of students with varying speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students in grades K-5.
  • Provide targeted speech and language therapy to a caseload of approximately 60 students, utilizing virtual platforms.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to track student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student advancements.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions for 1-3 students, focusing on language development and articulation skills.
  • Address the unique needs of students with mild Autism within the caseload, ensuring an inclusive approach to therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and ASHA certification.
  • Valid state licensure and eligibility for teletherapy.
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly in a virtual setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Proficient in using technology for remote therapy sessions.
