Location: Scranton, PA Job Duration: Academic Year (NSY) Position Type: Contract | K-12 School

An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Scranton, PA area, specifically designed for K-12 students. This role focuses on providing exceptional speech and language support to a diverse caseload within a dynamic educational environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
  • Provide direct therapy services to approximately 20 students, primarily in grades 6-8, utilizing evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and manage a varied caseload effectively over two half days per week.
  • Offer guidance and support to educational staff regarding speech and language development and challenges.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
  • Valid Pennsylvania state license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a middle school setting, is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and families.
