An exciting opportunity awaits for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in the Scranton, PA area, specifically designed for K-12 students. This role focuses on providing exceptional speech and language support to a diverse caseload within a dynamic educational environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language impairments.
- Provide direct therapy services to approximately 20 students, primarily in grades 6-8, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to track student progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and manage a varied caseload effectively over two half days per week.
- Offer guidance and support to educational staff regarding speech and language development and challenges.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP).
- Valid Pennsylvania state license or eligibility for licensure.
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in a middle school setting, is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage effectively with students and families.
