Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K-12 students during the Extended School Year (ESY) in the Warwick, RI area. Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for students with speech and language disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based practices, including teletherapy as required.
- Collaborate with teachers, educational staff, and families to promote effective communication strategies.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting plans and interventions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute valuable insights regarding speech and language goals.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license and certification (CCC-SLP) in the state of Rhode Island.
- Experience in pediatric settings, preferably within a school environment.
- Strong knowledge of teletherapy practices and platforms.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse student populations.
