Job Description
An opportunity is available for a dedicated and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with K-12 students in Wood River Junction, RI, during the Extended School Year (ESY). This contract position is ideal for those who are passionate about enhancing student communication and learning experiences through tailored speech and language interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language impairments in students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and goals.
- Provide direct therapy services to students using both in-person and teletherapy methods.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student sessions and progress reports.
- Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Valid SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students and families.
- Proficient in using technology for teletherapy and documentation purposes.
