Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for a skilled professional in a supportive K-12 educational environment located in Tucson, AZ. This contract position runs from July 28, 2025, to May 22, 2026, offering a unique chance to make a positive impact on students' lives across two schools.
This role requires approximately 20-25 hours per week, with a schedule of about four days per week. The caseload will vary between schools, with approximately 60 students at one location and 20 at another.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs
- Knowledge of disabilities such as Autism, SLI, DD, and OHI
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Location: Tucson, AZ
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to meet the diverse needs of students
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop appropriate IEP goals
- Monitor student progress and adjust educational plans as necessary
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive learning environment
- Provide guidance and support to the SLPA as needed
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and documentation required by the school
