An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This part-time position is located in Vero Beach, FL, and focuses on serving students from kindergarten through eighth grade. The role is crucial in helping children with communication disorders achieve their educational goals and enhance their social skills.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC)
- Recent graduates with Clinical Fellow Year (CFY) are encouraged to apply
- Valid Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
Location:
- Vero Beach, Florida
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to individual students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students goals
- Provide direct speech and language therapy in one-on-one and group settings
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and progress made
- Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities
