Job Description
In an educational setting in Verona, MO, a professional with specialized skills in SLP is sought to provide targeted support to K-12 students. This part-time position requires dedication and expertise in addressing the diverse communication needs of 15-20 students, including two nonverbal learners utilizing AAC devices. The role spans the school year from August 18, 2025, to May 21, 2026.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC)
- Experience in pediatric speech therapy, particularly in school settings
- Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Experience working with students with varying disabilities
- Knowledge of relevant therapy techniques and assessments

Responsibilities:
- Assess and provide therapy for students requiring speech and language support
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to create and implement IEPs
- Utilize AAC devices to support nonverbal students in their communication development
