Job Description
A contract position is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist looking to make a meaningful impact in an educational setting during the extended school year. This role focuses on supporting students in grades 7 through 12, addressing a variety of communication needs in a high school environment.
Qualifications:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with high school students
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of therapy techniques suitable for varied age groups
Location:
Waterbury, CT
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language assessments to students.
- Develop and implement appropriate therapy plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to support students communication goals.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation.
- Conduct therapy sessions in a structured and supportive environment.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
