Job Description
An opportunity exists for skilled professionals in the field of speech-language pathology to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This full-time, contract position for the 2025-2026 school year is based in Yakima, WA, and entails working directly with students to address a diverse range of speech and language needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred
- Experience working with school-aged children, particularly in K-12 settings
- Strong assessment and intervention skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Yakima, WA
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students speech and language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student
- Provide direct therapy services to students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support students overall development
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques as necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and communicate effectively with families
