Qualifications:
- Current certification as a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
- Previous experience working with elementary-age students preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement therapy plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
- Commitment to collaborating with educational staff and parents to support student development
Location: Citrus Heights, CA
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the delivery of speech and language therapy as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs) by implementing prescribed therapeutic activities
- Monitor student progress and document results for review by supervising therapists
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and educational staff regarding student needs and progress
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities as available
