Qualifications:
- Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Bachelors degree in communication sciences or related field
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other specialists
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records
Location:
- Hillsboro, OR
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language programs as directed by a licensed SLP
- Provide support to students with communication disorders in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Conduct group and individual sessions to facilitate skill development
- Maintain documentation of student progress and report outcomes to supervising staff
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as available
