Qualifications:

  • Current certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
  • Bachelors degree in communication sciences or related field

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with educators and other specialists
  • Knowledge of various speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
  • Capacity to manage multiple priorities and maintain organized records

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language programs as directed by a licensed SLP
  • Provide support to students with communication disorders in accordance with their individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Conduct group and individual sessions to facilitate skill development
  • Maintain documentation of student progress and report outcomes to supervising staff
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
  • Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as available
