An opportunity has arisen for a dedicated professional to support middle school students in Lakewood, WA. This full-time contract position entails working closely with a small student caseload, facilitating learning and communication under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders
- Valid Washington state certification as an SLPA
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Location: Lakewood, WA
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing student treatment plans
- Provide direct support to students with speech and language needs
- Document student progress and maintain records as required
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student goals
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to IEP discussions when applicable
