Location: Olympia, WA
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy plans as directed by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Support students with individual needs, maintaining a small caseload to ensure personalized attention.
- Collaborate with educational staff and parents to promote effective communication and learning strategies.
- Document student progress and participate in assessments and IEP meetings as required.
- Maintain professional standards and adhere to state regulations regarding SLPA practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Communication Disorders or a related field.
- Valid Washington state certification as an SLPA.
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with middle school students, is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
