Job Description
An opportunity is available for a skilled candidate to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This onsite position, located in Tracy, CA, is set to commence on August 12, 2025, and will continue through the school year. The role involves working closely under the supervision of a licensed speech-language pathologist to provide instructional support and therapeutic services to students requiring communication assistance.
Qualifications:
- California SLPA license or certification
- Experience working with K-12 students, particularly in school settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement therapy plans as directed by a licensed speech-language pathologist
- Knowledge of various speech and language disorders
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Skills in collaborating with educators, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Tracy, CA (Onsite in a K-12 School)
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assessment and treatment of students with speech and language disorders
- Implement therapeutic activities and interventions as outlined by the supervising pathologist
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of services provided
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students' communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of individualized education plans
- Provide guidance and support to students and families regarding communication challenges
