Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker Credential
- Compliance with all Michigan Department of Education criteria for school social workers
- Strong background in special education, particularly with evaluations and functional behavior assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Location:
- Big Rapids, Michigan
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations for students requiring social work services
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with special education teams
- Provide direct services to students with IEPs, ensuring they receive the support needed for their success
- Consult with educators and staff regarding students' social and emotional well-being
- Facilitate training and workshops for staff on social-emotional learning and best practices
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
