Job Description

An opportunity exists for a dedicated Social Worker to support students in a K-12 educational setting. This role focuses on providing essential social work services to students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), fostering their emotional and social development.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher.
• Current state licensure or certification in social work.
• Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with special needs.
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Experience providing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons.

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Provide 30 minutes of social work services to each student as outlined in their IEP.
• Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students requiring social work assessments.
• Actively participate in IEP meetings to advocate for student needs and progress.
• Deliver weekly SEL lessons to promote emotional intelligence and social skills across all classrooms.
• Develop and implement individualized service plans tailored to students' needs.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of student progress and services provided.
• Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student well-being and academic success.
