Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker Credential
- Compliance with all Michigan Department of Education criteria for school social workers
- Experience working with students in a K-12 environment, particularly in special education
- Strong skills in conducting evaluations and functional behavior assessments
- Ability to provide direct services to students with IEPs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Location:
- Fremont, MI
Responsibilities:
- Assess student needs through evaluations and functional behavior assessments
- Develop and implement individualized social work plans for students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student achievement
- Provide counseling and direct services to students with IEPs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress and services provided
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a supportive school environment
