Job Description
An opportunity is available for a dedicated social worker to support students in a dynamic PreK-8th grade school environment located in Joliet, IL. This role involves working full-time with a focus on providing essential social work services to students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or relevant field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a social worker.
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with K-12 students.
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide counseling and SEL (Social Emotional Learning) lessons.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of social work services to each student as outlined in their IEP.
- Conduct initial evaluations and re-evaluations for students requiring social work.
- Actively participate in IEP meetings, collaborating with educators and parents to support student needs.
- Create and implement weekly SEL lessons in classrooms to promote emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
