Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker Credential
- Compliance with all Michigan Department of Education criteria for school social workers
- Experience working with special education populations, particularly in evaluations and functional behavior assessments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Proven ability to provide direct services to students with IEPs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Implement and monitor individual education plans (IEPs) for students requiring social work services
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student achievement
- Provide counseling and support to students facing behavioral and emotional challenges
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to a holistic approach to student care
