An opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to provide essential social work services within an elementary school setting. This role focuses on supporting K-5 students, addressing their diverse social, emotional, and educational needs through a compassionate and structured approach.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or higher
- Valid state licensure as a social worker
- Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and other professionals
- Knowledge of child development and various social/emotional issues
Responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students' social and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling and support to students in self-contained and general education classrooms
- Collaborate with another social worker and school psychologist to enhance student well-being
- Facilitate workshops and training for staff on social-emotional learning
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date student records and documentation
