Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Valid 310 certification for school social work
- Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in educational settings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, parents, and administrative staff
- Knowledge of best practices in school-based mental health
Location: River Rouge, MI
Responsibilities:
- Assess and intervene in the social and emotional issues facing students, providing tailored support.
- Develop and implement individual and group counseling plans, fostering a positive school climate.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to identify student needs and create comprehensive support strategies.
- Conduct workshops and training sessions for parents and staff on social-emotional learning.
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation of services provided in compliance with district policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to address student well-being and academic success.
