An opportunity is available for a dedicated social worker specializing in the K-12 education sector. This full-time contract position is situated in Stanton, MI, and is intended for the complete 2025-2026 school year. The role focuses on providing essential social-emotional and behavioral support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students needs and provide tailored social-emotional support and interventions.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student well-being.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of IEPs and intervention plans.
- Support the implementation of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and monitor student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student interactions and progress as required by school policies.
Qualifications:
- Valid Michigan School Social Worker license with a 310 endorsement.
- Masters degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
- Completion of a state-approved School Social Worker program.
- Registered with the Michigan Department of Education and licensed by the Michigan Board of Social Work.
- Knowledge of special education laws, IEP processes, and behavioral interventions.
- Experience in a school setting is preferred.
