An opportunity is available for a skilled Social Worker with experience in educational settings, particularly within K-12 environments. This contract position is based in Sterling Heights, MI, and spans the duration of the school year, serving four school sites within the district.

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in social work (MSW)
• Valid 310 certification
• Previous experience as a social worker in schools
• Strong understanding of K-12 education systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with educators, parents, and administrative staff
• Experience managing Pre-K through 12th grade caseloads

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, counseling, and support services to students across four school sites
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teaching staff
• Maintain appropriate documentation of student progress and interventions
• Facilitate workshops and training for staff and parents on social-emotional learning
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance student well-being
• Address a variety of student concerns, including behavioral, social, and emotional challenges
