Location: Cheraw, SC
Duration: Contract for the school year (July 23, 2025 - May 29, 2026)
Schedule: 7.5 - 8 hours per day
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Employ various teaching strategies to engage students and promote active learning.
- Collaborate with support staff, parents, and other educators to ensure a comprehensive approach to each students education.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation as required by district policies.
- Adapt curriculum materials and instructional methods to meet the varying needs of students.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged students in a self-contained classroom.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude toward addressing student needs.
