An exciting opportunity awaits professionals dedicated to fostering the educational growth of elementary students with diverse learning needs. Located in Chicago, IL, this contract position for the 2025/2026 school year involves working within an elementary school setting, addressing the unique challenges faced by students requiring special education services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that reflect each student's needs and goals.
- Utilize innovative and differentiated instructional strategies to engage students effectively.
- Regularly monitor and report on student progress toward IEP objectives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create a comprehensive support system for students.
- Provide both push-in and pull-out assistance for students in ELA and Math.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Special Education.
- Active Illinois teaching certification.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities is preferred.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
