This position focuses on creating an inclusive and supportive environment for K-3rd grade learners diagnosed with autism and other social-emotional or behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to foster a positive and structured classroom environment.
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to engage students and promote their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional methods as necessary.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and behavior.
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe and conducive learning environment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Professional Educators License.
- Required Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement.
- Previous experience working with students with disabilities, particularly in a self-contained classroom setting.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to work collaboratively with paraprofessionals and other support staff.
