Qualifications:
- Active certification in Special Education
- Experience teaching high school students, particularly grades 8-12
- Familiarity with nonverbal students and those requiring specialized support (trach/feeding tubes)
- Strong collaboration skills with paraprofessionals and other support staff
- Preferred experience in transition planning for students
Location: Cleveland, OH
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for each student
- Collaborate with support staff to create a comprehensive learning environment
- Provide instruction tailored to the varied needs of an 8-student caseload
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging effective communication and social skills
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
