An opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to support students in a dynamic high school setting. This full-time contract position is set to commence on August 13, 2025, and seeks an individual who is not only skilled in special education but also proficient in Spanish, enhancing communication and support for diverse student needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education.
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Proficiency in Spanish; ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking students and families.
- Experience in writing and implementing IEPs.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Location:
- East Peoria, IL
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and adapt educational programs tailored to meet the individual needs of students with special education requirements.
- Collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create a comprehensive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and IEP documentation.
- Provide direct support and intervention to students, fostering both academic and social development.
